CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental, Sept. 5 (PIA) – Increase in the number of walk-in clients due to more accessible location to the public and reduction in electricity costs due to adequate ventilation.

These are only some of the perceived advantages that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board, region 10 (RTWPB-X) has derived from its new location at the 3F, FICCO Building, Tiano-Abellanosa Sts., this city.

Lawyer Alan M. Macaraya, Chairperson of RTWPB-X, who is also the Regional Director of the Department of Labor and Employment, region 10 (DOLE-10), said the Boards’s new location also results in increased program visibility of the Information, Education and Communication Materials (IECM) of OPLAN PAWIS.

It also provides ample space for hanging and mounting , in conspicuous places, productivity programs including the Labor Relations, Human Relations and Productivity Training (LHP) and Technical Assistance Visit (TAV) training technologies, the organizational chart, citizens’ charter and process flow charts of Minimum Wage Fixing and other related matters.

Particularly, the Board’s new location has the following advantages: It has a floor area of 128 sq.m. or 24% bigger than the previous office, and pays a rent of Php170/per sq.m. saving 50% on rent since negotiations were done while building construction was still on-going.

Meanwhile, the blessing and dedication of its new location was held during the recent visit to the city of DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, who was accompanied by USEC Lourdes M. Trasmonte, with the presence of the Regional Board-X members, NLRC-X Commissioners and heads of the DOLE-X Regional Coordinating Council. (RTWPB/PIA-10)
